Children have tiny trauma's to their bodies on a daily basis.  Have you ever watched them play at the play ground.  I always cringe and imagine what happens to their sacrum when they land in the sand at the bottom of the slide.  But, they pick themselves up and go down the slide again and again.  So imagine this repetitive, daily trauma to their little spines.  Then my adult patients wonder why they have degeneration at 20 years of age.  If you do not get your spine checked by a Chiropractor and have spinal adjustments, all those micro-traumas have caused damage or early joint wear and tear, this is known as Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD).  

Can you imagine reducing the chances of DJD???  That is my mission.  By correcting the misalignments when your young, not allowing the joint to degenerate, I believe it is possible.  

An adjustment for a child is much different then an adjustment to an adult.  I have found that less is better with kids.  They respond very quickly and only need gentle treatments.  Their frequency of care is much less because their spines are healthier, healing and changing so quickly.  

My children patients ask to see "Dr. Angela so she can fix my back".  They know that they feel better after seeing me. I have young adult patients who have been seeing me since a young age and they are more health conscious and aware of their bodies.  They understand the benefits of preventative health care.
